I intentionally live my perfect day by setting boundaries and taking stock of the little things that bring me joy.
Most people feel powerless over their day.
Whether it’s an employer monopolizing their time or letting the issues of others take precedence over their own, it’s not uncommon to just let life happen. There’s no intention, just vibes.
Taking a backseat to your life while offering the steering wheel to family, friends, relationships, or your career rarely results in positive outcomes.
Imagine living a life that everyone desires but you. Your decisions become dictated by the wants and needs of everyone around you and that’s no way to live.
Life will in fact happen, but we have the power to control what happens 80% of the time. The other 20% we likely have no control over such as accidents, job loss, or unfortunate tragedies. However, we can control how we react to crisis and adversity.
And I know what you’re thinking, the perfect day happens every blue moon.
If you think back to a day where everything went absolutely right, you’ll probably recall a significant event like your wedding day, childhood, or a surprise party.
But what if you took an approach to creating your ideal day, every day?
The way you plan for your birthday or honeymoon should be the same way you plan out your week, but on a much lower scale.
The first step is defining what the perfect day means for you.
What is your Perfect Day meaning?
The perfect day is essentially anything that fills your cup.
Engaging in fun hobbies, pleasant exchanges with strangers, learning something new, having meaningful conversations, relaxation, spending quality time with family and friends, exploring, and being positively poured into are all elements of a perfect day.
Realistically, it’s not possible to fit every single thing that makes you jump for joy into each day. That’s why it’s important to appreciate the smaller things in life.
Maybe it’s taking a lunch break at your favorite cafe, grabbing a latte before work, getting a ‘good morning’ text from someone special, eating a hearty meal, taking a walk through a scenic route home, or practicing a new skill for fun.
Obviously, your perfect day will differ from everyone else’s, but when you view life through a different lens, it will change your perspective.
You can have a perfect day and still experience some bad luck in between.
But, what’s worth focusing on the most? The good or the bad? Most people have a natural inclination to focus on the positive things rather than the negative.
At the end of each day, make it a point to jot down all the things that went well.
If you dig deep enough, your list will probably be much longer than the list that details everything that went wrong.
If you want to experience a perfect day, you’ll have to change your perspective.
What is your idea of a Perfect Day?
My idea of a perfect day is having absolute power over how I spend the twenty-four hours.
I’m not on anyone’s clock and I can wake up when I want, eat home-cooked meals, rest, read, work on house projects, hobbies, and engage in activities that I genuinely enjoy.
A perfect day for me is not only having time freedom but financial freedom as well.
A day where money is not an obstacle to purchase new items or experiences is definitely ideal.
If this were the case, I’d be taking trips every single week.
Without financial limitations, I’d love to travel across the globe and take friends and family along with me for the ride.
But for the sake of practicality, here is my description of a perfect day; wake up before noon to bike ride through a scenic trail, write at a local Parisian-inspired cafe, enjoy an afternoon picnic at the beach with my hubby, bake my favorite dessert, and curl up with a good book in front of a cozy fireplace
Just keep it nice and simple. Setting daily intentions and possessing a positive mindset will make a world of difference.
Ultimately, you have the power to set the tone and make every single day of your life feel ideal.
How to answer “describe your perfect day”?
In order to manifest your perfect day, you’ll need to clarify your vision. Practice writing a description of your perfect day to see it come to fruition.
The first step is defining what your perfect day looks like. You need to be descriptive as possible and continue writing it down in your journal or in a notepad to reflect on later.
Your “perfect day” should include specific details about the following:
- Setting
- Place and time
- Smell
- People
- Feelings
- Achievements
- Activities
- Emotions
Look outside of your window right now and visualize how you would seize the day.
What color are the trees? Are you near open water? What sounds do you hear? Are you in the states or overseas? Do you live in the countryside or in a bustling city? What can you smell? How is the weather?
Describe the room you’re in and who is with you? What hobbies or activities are you engaging in throughout the day?
Are you cooking, reading, knitting, canning, gardening, traveling, shopping, painting or on a romantic date night?
Incorporate colors, textures, and make the scenes in your ‘perfect day’ description as vivid as possible.
Don’t be afraid to switch up your description. We know everyday doesn’t look the same when you’re intentional about it.
Once you know how your perfect day looks. It’s time to affirm it.
My Perfect Day – Set Positive Intentions
Guide your mindset by writing down and vocalizing positive affirmations about your perfect day.
Being intentional is setting hard boundaries at home, work, or in your relationships with others.
When you refuse to be distracted and remain focused on your daily goals, it helps align your mindset with your actions.
Some people deal with rude coworkers, unpleasant encounters, or minor inconveniences that disrupt their daily schedules.
Setting the intention that you won’t allow anything to put a damper on your day shifts your mindset and puts the control back into your hands.
A helpful approach for being intentional is to focus on being grateful and positive, which can help you attract positive energy.
My Perfect Day – Take Action
Thinking about your perfect day will only get you so far. Taking action steps to manifest it is a must.
Align your daily tasks and actions accordingly. Create routines and habits that will get you to the end goal you have in mind.
Wake up early, take time in the morning to work on a passion project before work, open a savings account for your dream home, or research how to travel the world on a tight budget.
Start small, so you can finish big. You don’t have to monitor or control every single detail of your day.
Be content with what you have for now. You’re equipped with the right mindset, skill set, and support system.
Your perfect day shouldn’t be all about you.
Take action by taking something off of your loved one’s plate. Show up for your friends in every way that you can to have them return their love and support for you.
If you don’t take the necessary steps to make your vision a reality, how else will you manifest your day?
Like anything else, experiencing your ideal day will take time. Be patient and grateful for the little things while on your journey.
My Perfect Day – Reflection
Prayer and daily meditation for what you want out of life should be a daily priority.
Sometimes, you’ll have to turn down all the outside noise when you’re working towards your dream life.
Reflect on your wins and learn from your losses. Start journaling about your progress, note any significant changes, and readjust your intentions as needed.
Have unmoving faith in your vision until it comes to pass. Small wins will keep you motivated and on the right path.
Things may get frustrating when you feel so far away from the perfect day that you imagined, but never stop doing the work – it always pays off in the end.
Understand that everything has its time as long as you stay the course.
That 4-hour work week schedule, more time to spend with your loved ones, healing and wellness, and securing your financial freedom is on its way right to you.
Are you ready to create a life that aligns with your desires and goals?
Remember, manifesting your perfect day is about living with purpose and being intentional in your time and energy.
As long as you dedicate yourself to this practice, the easier it will be to shape the days that follow.
Stay focused, goal friends! Trust yourself, and watch how your perfect day unfolds naturally.
