What is Wellness Wednesday?
Wellness Wednesday is a weekday specifically reserved for indulging in self care, mindfulness, physical fitness, and mental health activities. Leading a healthy lifestyle requires intentionality, so I’m sharing all the Wellness Wednesday tips you’ll need to maximize your day.
Wellness Wednesday is especially helpful for those who don’t put their health and wellness first.
Work, parenting, and school work may monopolize a lot of time in your weekly schedule, which causes activities dedicated to your well-being to be pushed further down your to do list.
The best thing is, Wellness Wednesday doesn’t require 24-hours. You can divide up wellness activities throughout the day or only focus on them during your morning or evening routines.
My advice is to keep things simple when you partake in Wellness Wednesdays. If you’re rushing through your self care or cutting the day short, because you have more pressing concerns and responsibilities that need your attention, then what’s the point
Wellness Wednesdays promote healing, slower paced lifestyles, and the proper nourishment of your mind, body, and soul.
Remember that self-care and wellness are not a reward but a necessity. Busy working professionals and women with children that engage in Wellness Wednesday activities usually adopt the steps into their daily routines.
Take that infrared mask and spa bath on the self care checklist that you’ve been postponing for weeks. Add the infrared mask and spa bath to your Wellness Wednesday activities for next week.

How I Manifested My Perfect Day?
How to plan a wellness day?
For a well-rounded Wellness Wednesday, try to practice a minimum of five areas of self-care:
- Meditate – Find a comfortable position, close your eyes, and focus on your breath. Pray while laying in bed before you get up. This is a great way to start your day every morning.
- Journal – Write out your thoughts, emotions, and goals for the day. Respond to a few manifestation prompts, too.
- Exercise – Engage in a quick workout, whether it’s yoga, stretching, a brisk walk, or sports activity.
- Eat Healthy – Treat yourself to a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals that will provide fuel for both your mind and body.
- Positive Affirmations – Recite affirmations to help rewire your subconscious mind. Doing so will empower you to overcome challenges and embrace a positive mindset.
Try to scratch more daunting tasks off your list at the beginning of the day and use the rest of your afternoon and evening to take it easy at work and relax when you return home.
Create a checklist of Wellness Wednesday ideas and complete as many items as you can. This can serve as a guide that you can eventually use every day of the week.
A Wellness Wednesday checklist may include things like hydrating your body, eating whole foods, pampering yourself, body movement, reading, wearing comfortable activewear, or reconnecting with family and friends.
For some people, focusing on the health of their bodies feels like a chore. Eating greens and drinking smoothies all day may not seem like a fun time, but the older version of yourself will thank you.
Finally, when planning your Wellness Wednesday, check around for local events in your area that are dedicated to wellness but fun, like aerial yoga, speakeasy, community walks, sound baths, or book clubs.

Meal planning at the beginning of the week and practicing self-discipline will help with eliminating this issue.
If you’re not much of a chef and prefer taking out food, switching things up for 24-hours won’t hurt.
You can purchase smoothies, salads, baked chicken or fish, turkey sandwiches or protein bowls, if you don’t have the time to cook at home.

What are some Wellness Wednesday exercise tips?
The general recommendation is walking 10,000 steps a day, but that can be a bit of a tall order when you’re just starting out.
Many people work sedentary jobs, suffer from physical limitations, or live in environments that aren’t conducive to walking.
The best thing to do is increase your steps without trying to set a specific distance goal. Don’t get me wrong, you should definitely challenge yourself, just not too hard.
Wellness Wednesday isn’t about working out and sweating all day. It’s about the effort to be more active and incorporating fitness into your daily routine.
Whether you’re attending a hot yoga class, taking a walk on your lunch break, or dancing your heart out for 30-minutes straight, movement is the only expectation.
So, dust off that gym membership and put it to use. There are various fitness classes, weight rooms, and amenities you can take advantage of to get your body moving.
I don’t particularly care for overcrowded gyms, so I’d gladly opt for a swim in the pool or Zumba class.
The machines can be a little intimidating and require professional instruction for proper usage.
Make your exercise activities fun for Wellness Wednesday. Revisit your childhood if you need to.
Jumping rope, roller blading, playing basketball, or jogging around the neighborhood will suffice.
