Drinks with flavors like apple and pumpkin are popular in the fall, like pumpkin spiced Chai tea or Starbuck’s infamous lattes.
Fall scented soy candles with great throws and pot-pourri make your home feel warm and inviting. The smell compels you to slow down and be present.
Making fall-themed recipes like pumpkin bread, butternut squash lasagna, tortellini soup, or salted caramel apple crumb cake is the ideal activity for a cozy hygge night in.
Limit The Use of Technology
Smartphones are a time suck. It’s the last thing we should pick up in the morning, yet we do and it shaves hours of time off our day.
When you hygge alone, disconnect and center yourself and the ones you love around you.
Turning on the television and distracting yourself by scrolling on social media does the complete opposite.
It’s a waste of precious time when you can spend more hours creating memories or reviewing your goals.

It’s something I try to do weekly as soon as fall begins. I love chunky sweaters, wool scarves, crossword puzzles, and headphones with sounds of nature that lull me to sleep at night.
Invite friends and family over for hygge night to tell ghost stories, play a game of charades, or watch a mystery/thriller movie on the big screen.
